Spring 2012 Rice Retreats Movie

We've talked about adding a swing to the list of amenities at the Rice Retreat for several years and just haven't taken action on the idea until now.  A few days ago while we were on vacation a jolly fellow asked permission to pull into the drive to 'show us something'.  Turns out he has a business building swings and other furniture from Eastern Red Cedar, one of our favorite woods.  He perfected his current design over the winter and we were indeed impressed with the design AND workmanship.  Anyway, an hour or so later his display model was hanging in a spot under the deck that looked like it was made just for that swing!!  Everyone enjoy and guests please leave us comments below!! 

While on vacation we decided to do a huge upgrade and took delivery on a Tempur-Pedic Rhapsody bed! We've enjoyed this same mattress at our permanent home for the past couple of years and decided to try one for the Rice Retreat. If you are a guest please provide us comments! The Rhapsody is one of their higher-end models and you just melt into it. We also added another king bed to one of the bedrooms on the upper level for the comfort of guests. Everyone enjoy!!  M. We've just completed interior painting of all the main level and part of the upper level! Doors, ceilings and trim too. We went with some warm earthy colors and it really made a difference. Hope all our 2010 guests enjoy the fresh new look!
